Dive! Into a Book is 1 year old!
We can't believe it has been a whole year of Dive Into a Book! Over the past year, we've explored fascinating books, shared thoughtful conversations, and connected through shared curiosity about the marine world and a love of reading.
Thank you to everyone who has read, discussed, and helped make our book club a wonderful community. We can't wait to see what the next chapter brings!
Tool Library Celebration & Tool Sale
The JeffCo Repair Community Tool Library celebrated its first anniversary with an incredible day of community, connection, and generosity. From the tool sale and BBQ to the cornhole tournament, supporters came together to celebrate a year of sharing resources, building skills, and strengthening our community.
There is still time to donate! Every dollar helps keep tools accessible, reduce waste, and empower our community to repair, create, and learn together!

PTMSC staff and volunteer transporting a stranded seal pup NOAA Permit #24359
It's pupping season! During this time of year, harbor seal pups and other marine mammals are more likely to be seen resting on our local beaches. While it can be tempting to help, many animals are simply hauled out to rest and should be left undisturbed.
However, if you encounter a marine mammal that appears sick, injured, entangled, or abandoned, you should:
Keep your distance. Stay at least 100 yards away and observe quietly.
Leash your dog. Pets can frighten or injure resting marine mammals.
Do not touch or move the animal. Seal pups are often left alone while their mothers forage and may not be abandoned.
Keep people away. Give the animal plenty of space to rest.
Report sick, injured, entangled, or dead marine mammals to the PTMSC Marine Mammal Stranding Network. Call 360-385-5582 x103
Your actions can make a big difference in protecting these animals during one of the most important times of the year. When in doubt, please report the animal. Learn what to do—and what not to do—on the PTMSC Marine Mammal Stranding Network page.
