JUNE HIGHLIGHTS
Port Townsend Pride
Pride-goers add fiber of all colors to our "Tapestry of the Salish Sea"
Early this month, PTMSC was proud to participate in Port Townsend Pride and celebrate the vibrant LGBTQ+ community that makes our region so special. As part of the celebration, we invited community members to help create a collaborative tapestry—a colorful piece of art filled with the creativity and personal touches of community members celebrating Pride together.
Intertidal Monitoring
PTMSC recently completed our annual intertidal monitoring surveys at two local sites with the help of an incredible team of dedicated volunteers, including Bob Lemon and Wendy Feltham, our two experienced volunteer naturalists. Together, volunteers worked alongside our staff to document the health and diversity of our rocky shore ecosystems, collecting important data on the species that live in the intertidal zones.
